Each time you update the iPhone (or iPod), iTunes keeps a file of 250 MB on the hard disk. After a few updates, the space on the disk can be considerable, so we can delete older versions to free up disk space. The files are located at:

Mac:

Possible causes of overheating iPhone 3GS

September 7th, 2009 No Comments »

With the arrival of the iPhone 3GS and faster processor, have begun to hear complaints from users about problems of overheating of the terminal. It may be normal for an iPhone under intensive warming reaches up to be uncomfortable to use, normally these cases are solved by letting the iPhone is cool.

When the iPhone reaches a temperature too high, the system displays a warning message asking the user to let the unit cool. if the problem often happens, Apple technicians can check an internal temperature sensor, if it reaches certain values, Apple iPhone will change the other.

The use of programs that are still running in memory, or that they would crash and continue consuming processor cycles, can lead to warming. Programs running in the background as the Apple iPod itself, can also lead to the problem. It is therefore advisable not to leave applications running, always returning to the home screen or even do a reset (press the sleep and home button until the Apple logo) to restart the iPhone when heated.
